Royal Caribbean: Vision of the Seas

9 Nights - Bermuda, Nassau, Perfect Day at Coco Cay

Day 1: Baltimore, Maryland

This was our first time embarking from Baltimore, MD, and while the experience was mostly smooth, we did learn a few things along the way. We stayed at a hotel downtown, which I wouldn’t recommend—next time, we’ll definitely choose accommodations closer to the port for added convenience.

The embarkation process itself was straightforward and hassle-free. Unfortunately, Ay had a brief episode just as we were about to board the ship. Thankfully, the crew was incredibly supportive, promptly assisting him with a wheelchair, which was a huge relief for us.

When traveling with epilepsy, it's essential to be prepared for the unexpected. Fortunately, this was just a side effect of his medication, and it passed within a few hours, allowing us to enjoy the rest of our journey.

Day 2: At Sea

Day 3 and 4: Royal Naval Dockyard - Bermuda

Bermuda Excursion: “Nightlife” Glass Bottom Boat Ride

We decided to book this excursion at the last minute, and it did not disappoint. We took the 8:30 pm slot, which allowed us to see the sunset as we “cruised” out to see fish and a shipwreck in the Bermuda Triangle. Highly recommend.

Day 5: At Sea

Day 6: Nassau, Bahamas

On our recent trip to Nassau, we decided to explore the Nassau Cruise Port Museum, a gem often overshadowed by the island’s more traditional attractions. Nestled within the bustling cruise port, this museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the rich history and vibrant culture of the Bahamas—a perfect way to start or end your island adventure.

Day 7: Perfect Day at Coco Cay

Coco Cay Beach Club

Our first visit to Coco Cay Beach Club was an experience we had been eagerly anticipating for years. We managed to snag day passes at an incredible rate of $89—a steal considering the usual prices. The key takeaway here? Always keep an eye on the prices; they can drop significantly closer to your cruise date.

Coincidentally, Utopia of the Seas was hosting its influencer cruise the same day, so there were quite a few people touring the facility. However, it never felt overwhelming or disruptive. We easily found a table and plenty of chairs to settle in for a relaxing day.

Lunch was a standout highlight, with a delicious filet and lobster tail that easily surpassed anything we had on the ship—definitely worth the price. Ayden had a blast in the pool, and we spent a lot of time floating on beach mats out at the sandbar.

If you’re debating whether it’s worth it, for our family, we decided that if we can get passes for under $150, it’s definitely a must-do..

Day 8: At Sea

If you haven’t experienced the "Egg Drop Competition" yet, it's an absolute must-see! We always have an incredible time watching it.
